A Natural & Effective Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma has a history of use in orthopedic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Scientific studies have documented the effects of injecting PRP into tissues of the body for healing and rejuvenation. PRP is separated from whole blood and is rich in growth factors which stimulate stem cells and in turn, produce growth in human tissue. PRP, when injected into the skin, has produced remarkable results in facial, neck, and hand rejuvenation, as well as hair regrowth when injected into the scalp.

Hair Restoration

Using growth factors from your own body, PRP stimulates and strengthens hair follices for hair and scalp resoration.

How does it work?

Overview

Platelet Rich Plasma for hair restoration and regrowth has become a widely recognized, effective treatment for scalp and hair rejuvenation.  PRP has been used in orthopedic medicine and reconstructive surgery for decades.  Scientific studies have documented the effects of PRP in tissue healing and its role in the growth of collagen and elastin matrix in tissues of the body.  Because PRP contains growth factors that stimulate and strengthen hair follicles, medical professionals have seen amazing results when PRP is injected into the scalp.

 What to Expect

A small amount of blood will be drawn and spun in an Eclipse centrifuge.  The Eclipse blood collection system is a closed system and superior to “home-made” blood collection kits, eliminating the possibility of contamination.  The platelets will be drawn into a syringe and injected into the scalp.  Using the Zimmer Cryo 6 technology, cold air is applied to the scalp to minimize pain and reduce inflammation and the treatment is completed in approximately 30 minutes. The client can return to most normal daily activities.

Results

Within a period of a few weeks, new growth will appear.  The loading phase for PRP hair restoration/regrowth should occur monthly for 3-4 months. Photos of the scalp will be taken monthly to assess progress.

Skin Rejuvenation

PRP is versatile product that can be injected for facial wrinkles, in the neck, decollete, hands and other areas of the body.

How does it work?

PRP Facial Injections

Because PRP stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, total facial rejuvenation is the result, rather than individual wrinkle treatment.  PRP can be injected into the forehead, around the eyes, into the delicate tissue under the eyes, around and above the mouth, into cheeks, and nasolabial folds, and into the neck and decollete.  PRP can also be injected into hands and used in areas of the body for stretch marks and scars.

What To Expect

A small amount of blood will be drawn and spun in an Eclipse centrifuge. The Eclipse system for blood collection is a closed system and thus eliminates possible contamination that can occur when using a “home-made” blood collection kit.  The platelets will rise to the top of the tube and will be drawn into a syringe for injecting.  Numbing cream with Lidocaine will be applied to the treatment areas and will be thoroughly cleansed before injections begin.  The injection process is 10-15 minutes in length.  Some redness, mild swelling, and occasional bruising can occur but will resolve within a few days.  PRP is a product from your own body, thus negative side effects are eliminated.

Results

Within 3-4 weeks, results begin to emerge and will continue over time.  Maximum collagen regeneration occurs 3 months after treatment, and the benefits listed above will begin to materialize.  PRP injections can be combined with micro-needling, chemical peels, Botox or Dysport, Restylane, Juvederm, or laser treatments.  The recommendation for an initial loading phase with PRP is treatment every month for 3-4 months, then maintenance with micro-needling or injections twice yearly.  The skin texture and tone will visibly improve with each treatment.

Micro-Needling with PRP

Micro-needling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment for skin rejuvenation.  The Eclipse Micro-Pen Elite is a hand-held device with fine needles, used to create tiny channels in the skin, which allows the PRP to enter into deeper layers of dermis and trigger collagen and elastin growth and regeneration.  The micro-pen can be used on any area of the body including the face, neck, chest, decollete, stomach for stretch marks, scarred areas, and hands.  Micro-needling can be combined with PRP and/or hyaluronic acid, both which stimulate collagen growth and aid in healing of tissue.

What To Expect

A small amount of blood will be drawn and spun in an Eclipse centrifuge.  The platelets will rise to the top of the tube and be drawn into a syringe.  Numbing cream with Lidocaine will be applied to the areas of treatment and will be thoroughly cleansed before the micro-needling treatment begins.  The needle depth is adjusted based on the area of tissue being treated.  Clients have described the feeling of micro-needling as sandpaper being run across the skin.  Some report a feeling of tickling or mild itching while the treatment is taking place.  The procedure usually lasts 20-30 minutes and the PRP or hyaluronic acid is applied while using the pen, thus injecting the serum into the dermis.  Some redness and mild swelling can result and usually resolves within 24 hours.  Occasionally bruising occurs, but is rare and resolves quickly.

Results

Micro-needling is a skin-rejuvenating procedure with little to no down-time and results are seen immediately.  Softer lines and wrinkles, improved skin tone and texture, and a youthful glow are often observed following a micro-needling treatment.  For scars and stretch marks, 3 to 4 treatments are recommended.  PRP and hyaluronic acid micro-needling treatments can be combined with PRP injections, chemical peels, Botox or Dysport, Restylane or Juvederm, or laser treatments.
